Experimenting with Elements

I was simply thinking aboud the mana-based physics in [link] and how it could be visualise for better understanding. I'm sure somehow I'm wrong but I didnt even covered all possibilities.

This is just my character trying to understand how to manipulate elements by trial and error. I'm not sure what affinity he has, but this is simple basic. and of corse he's not vers succesfull with any of them with just that.

But to go into more detail.

Fire:
He tries to understand how fire works, for the purpose to create fire from simply heating up the air. He drains heat from the air into one single spot untill it would start to burn.
He looses control and the stored heat and mana makes a boom.

Water:
First he let his mana flow into the water and then make them splash inside the water what releases single drops which he catches with little bottles around the water. The drops are small so he dont need much to keep them together.
Then he put them all together into one "mana-bowl".
He changes the form of the bowl but here he dont manipulate the water but the mana around it, so the result is that the water follows the law of gravity and get out with the first opening it gets.

Stone:
It's too heavy and falls on his foot.

Plant:
He can make the plant grow, but not manipulate how it grown, nor can he move it once it is grown.
Also it drains alot of mana, so the tree isnt really big.

Wind:
Very unusual for air-sorcerrcerers (I really know that is spell't wrong, @__@ ) but he simply makes mana boom in from of him. Of corse the pulse catches him aswell.

Mana:
It's your lifeforce, using it alot drains from your own energy. That means he's really tired after that much experiments and need a good nap.
